A little bit more about
4D Scan
4D Scan was established in 2007 by Heidi Richter and Isabel Coetzee. They are two internationally qualified sonographers with a special interest in Obstetrics (Baby Scans). Isabel worked as a sonographer in the clinical field, and Heidi applied her skills in the corporate world, then they realized that a need for a private Obstetrics Scanning Facility existed. A place where a mom and dad can go to bond with their baby, but at the same time get expert up-to-date information on their pregnancy.
With technology advancing a further need arose – for doctors and midwives to refer their patients to a trusted professional institute, where they can get key results that will enable them to manage their patient’s pregnancy, and make important decisions to ensure the best possible outcome in each case.
Heidi and Isabel found the winning formula when they established a top class facility in various areas. 4D Scan is a family friendly facility where you can feel at home, ask questions and experience the hidden world of your baby in the womb.
2D, 3D or 4D Scans?

2D Scans are the black and white image we are all used to seeing. They’re a grayscale image of your baby produced by sound waves. With 3D and 4D ultrasound scans, you can actually see your little one in three-dimensional images. … The most significant difference between 3D and 4D ultrasound is that 4D allows people like us to “live stream” video of your baby’s images! 4D ultrasound is basically 3D ultrasound in live motion.
